Is humoral immunity acquired?

Image
Humoral immunity is  an aspect of specific immune responses directed at particular antigens. It takes the form of unique antibodies produced by B lymphocytes that have been specifically selected to neutralize the antigen at hand. Humoral immunity is also called  antibody-mediated immunity. With assistance from helper T cells, B cells will differentiate into plasma B cells that can produce antibodies against a specific antigen. The humoral immune system deals with antigens from pathogens that are freely circulating, or outside the infected cells. One can acquire humoral immunity to a specific infection or disease if administered with antibodies from someone who was previously been exposed to the same infection, circumventing the humoral response. The humoral immune system possesses both innate and adaptive components, although this topic review will focus on antibodies (also called immunoglobulins), one of the principal adaptive elements. The two types of acquired immunity are

Can Allergies be Genetics?

Image
Children can inherit the tendency to be allergic . The maternal allergies are more likely than paternal allergies to lead to the child inheriting allergies . “People inherit the ability to be allergic, but they don’t inherit what they’re allergic same family, there can be people who are allergic to cats and other people who are allergic to peanuts and other may allergic to something else. The effects of the environment on developing allergies are often mediated by  epigenetic modifications, which are changes to DNA, but not to genes themselves. Allergies, also known as anaphylaxis, occur when an allergen causes an adverse reaction to the body's immune system. Allergens when combined with antibodies will cause harm to human health . Gradually, the body will initiate some allergic diseases in children.  This is an allergic condition that arises when the weather changes suddenly or the body the patient is exposed to too hot or too cold climates. When allergic to weather, on the sk

What is herd Immunology?

Image
'Herd immunity', also called as ' population immunity ', is the way to protection from an infectious disorder that happens when a population is immune neither through vaccinations or immunity developed through previous infection. Vaccines train our immune systems to create proteins that fight against disease, known as ‘antibodies’, just as would happen when we are exposed to a disease One of the aims with working towards herd immunity is to keep vulnerable groups who cannot get vaccinated. Achieving herd immunity with safe and effective vaccines makes diseases rarer and saves lives. Attempts to reach ‘herd immunity’ through exposing people to a virus are scientifically problematic and unethical. Herd immunity depends on the contagiousness of the disease. Diseases that spread easily, such as measles, require a higher number of immune individuals in a community to reach herd immunity. Herd immunity protects the most vulnerable members of our population. If enough

Modern Immunology treats deadly Diseases?

Modern immunology has gradually developed into an independent subject with its own theoretical system and special research methods. It provides some new means for biological research. Immunology is a bio medical science that studies the immune response of an organism against the original substance and its methods. Immune response is not only the response of the organism to antigen stimulation, but also a biological process of recognizing and eliminating antigen substances. The emergence of monoclonal antibody technology has become a major breakthrough in the field of immunology. Monoclonal antibodies can be used to detect the surface molecules of various immune cells and other tissues, which is of great significance for the isolation, identification and classification of immune cells and the study of the structure and function of various membrane surface molecules.  The theory of immunology has been greatly enriched and improved. At the same time, many new research directions
