Can Allergies be Genetics?
Children can inherit the tendency to be allergic. The maternal allergies are more likely than paternal allergies to lead to the child inheriting allergies. “People inherit the ability to be allergic, but they don’t inherit what they’re allergic same family, there can be people who are allergic to cats and other people who are allergic to peanuts and other may allergic to something else.
The effects of the environment on developing allergies
are often mediated by epigenetic modifications, which are changes
to DNA, but not to genes themselves. Allergies, also known as
anaphylaxis, occur when an allergen causes an adverse reaction to the body's
immune system. Allergens when combined with antibodies will cause harm to human
health. Gradually, the body will initiate some allergic diseases in
children. This is an allergic condition that arises when the
weather changes suddenly or the body the patient is exposed to too hot or too
cold climates. When allergic to weather, on the skin will form red papules or
rashes, raised and edematous.
There is exposure to
germs that are not disease-causing, that’s how the immune system develops
Not all children born
into atopic families will develop allergies, and some children with no family
history of allergies will develop an allergic
condition. Therefore, genetics cannot be the only cause of allergies and
there are likely to be other factors involved in the development of allergies
conditions. Other factors that have been linked to allergies include the
surrounding environment and lifestyle habits.
It is mostly
hereditary as to whether or not we develop allergies, which means it can be
passed down through genes from parents to their children. It’s important to
note that this doesn’t necessarily mean that if you have allergies your child
will also definitely develop allergies.
